As of a few minutes ago my first donation rolled in! Thank you lovely J. Adams!

Her donation reminds me; I have not yet found the local charity to donate to. I am thinking of spamming some of my volunteer groups I'm a part of and see if anyone has any good ideas.

An announcement: I will not have ads per se in the zine. I will have a section called "Printing Sponsors". Each sponsor's business name, address, phone, website / email, and one byline ("Best Porterhouse Steak in Grays Harbor" or whatever) will be printed on a page next to other sponsors. The cost for this will be $20. Coupons will be printed in my zine gratis if they are given to me in a timely manner before my next printing.

I'm about to go pick up my envelopes and custom stamp for my first mailing. Yay!

Today a few great things happened for the zine:

1. My father bankrolled my first printing: 52 issues are now available. There are currently issues at the Hoquiam Farmer's Market and the 7th Street Deli and Sweet Shoppe. I will also be mailing out issues to those who want a hardcopy so please do get word to me if that is you.

2. I have been asked repeatedly about ad space. Since I am not getting the voluntary donations or subscriptions I have been used to in the past, I have decided to allow ads. One requirement is that I personally endorse the business. This will likely not be an issue as those who like the zine will likely be those I endorse. Ralph is working up an ad schematic tonight and I will post it soon.

Today it feels good to have a cardboard box with finished publications to deliver. Viva la zine!
