If there are any Hoquiamites (or Aberdonians!) who read this site, I'm tickled. An announcement: Reptileman will have assemblies tonight at tomorrow. Tonight's is at 7 PM at Central School; tomorrow, 7 PM at Washington School. Admission is just $1 per person.
Last year about this time my brother, Sophie, and I hit Reptileman's hood - the Serpentarium - for a visit (more pictures here). I was really pleased to see the facilities were clean and well-maintained. Let's put it this way: with about 100 reptiles in one building there was no odor whatsoever - although it was warm and muggy inside which made you eventually want to lie down in a torpor and wait to be devoured by an anaconda. If one is inclined to support the containment of wild animals for educational purposes, Mr. Peterson's facility gets top marks.Labels: birlo, SCIENCE, Sophie
