Here is the review for the eight products I tried out from Hippie Healing Co. (http://hippiehealing.com). The company is now transitioning their name (and product line name) to Rainwater Botanicals. But if you head down to the Public Market in Hoquiam you can still find most of these products, and some at lower prices than listed here:
Smooth Skin Face Polish (with Walnut and Green Clay). $7.00 for 3 oz. This was unlike any facial scrub I've used, softer and with a more invigorating scent. I did two gentle treatments in a row and my skin was the softest it's felt since a spa treatment over a year ago.
Hand & Body Lotion (With Organic Aloe). $7.50 for 8 oz. This was the only product I did not love. I was looking for a facial and body moisturizer. A medium-weight moisturizer with a creamy aloe and coconut oil base that did provide a good barrier to my overly-dry winter-heated house.
Healing Salve. $6.00 for 15 ml, $8.00 for 50 ml. The trademarked first product of Sara's with a comfrey base. After day two I started carrying mine in my purse for my dry hands. I plan to upgrade to the Sweet Orange Hand and Cuticle Salve so I can put this one back in the family's medicine cabinet.
These items were included in the Hippie Hitchhiker Travel Bag (no longer available):
Mature Skin Facial Bar (With Geranium & Carrot). $6.50 for 3 oz. This is a lovely, invigorating wash and the essental oils scent stays with you. A refreshing way to begin the day or a soothing way to end it.
Aloe & Geranium Facial Toner. $9.00 for 4 oz. Cool and refreshing after a bath. Witchhazel base with aloe and geranium.
Little Miracle Wrinkle Serum. $3.00 for 5/8 dram sample, $15.00 for 0.5 oz. Made from a base of rosehip seed oil, carrot seed & wheat germ oils.
Moisturizing Facial Serum. $6.00 for 1/4 oz. sample size, $15.00 for 1 oz. Serum for soaking the skin with moisture. The lovely rosewood scent was definitely my favorite of all products used. Vegan formula.
Peppermint Lip Balm. Couldn't find an individual price, 0.15 oz. A simple ingredient list: beeswax, organic coconut oil, castor oil, minerals, wheat germ oil, vitamin E, essential oils. A light and not sweet peppermint scent in a medium-weight lip balm with a slight tingle.Labels: reviews posted by Kelly Hogaboom at
